About Me
Hello! I’m Prachi, a senior at Frisco High School with a deep passion for law, advocacy, and community service. Over the past few years, I’ve actively engaged in leadership roles across various organizations, from being the president of Best Buddies to excelling in debate and mock trial competitions. My commitment to justice and inclusivity drives me to help others explore their passions.
How I got into Law
My passion for government began during the 2020 election, as I closely followed the political shifts and voter dynamics that shaped the U.S. political landscape. This sparked my desire to understand government systems and advocate for change. My interest deepened through true crime stories that exposed flaws in the justice system, further fueling my commitment to equality and advocacy. By joining clubs like Youth and Government and taking courses in political science and law, I have sharpened my skills in debate, analysis, and communication. In the future, I look forward to continuing this journey as I prepare for a career in law and government.
Mission Statement
During my ISM year, I will immerse myself in the field of criminal law, developing critical skills and knowledge through mentorship and hands-on experience. My goal is to produce a final product that reflects my dedication and contributes meaningfully to the legal community. I aim to build a strong foundation for a future career as a criminal lawyer, advocating for justice and positive change.
What is ISM?
Independent Study and Mentorship (ISM) is an exciting, rigorous elective offered at Frisco ISD high schools, designed for high-achieving juniors or seniors.
Students interested in taking ISM must complete the application and interview process to be considered for the course. Once selected, students conduct research and interviews throughout the year on their chosen topic of study in order to select a mentor and gain real-world experience.
